You might be addicted to CVS IF
Well Crystal for frugal friday wants to know if anyone has a "You May Be Addicted to CVS Shopping If... " list...
Well I guess if you have been reading my blog for long you KNOW I sure have one!!! An addiction that is....... :-D
So here are few from that post and a few more that I came up with!
-You shop at CVS even in your dreams, every night
-You only carry change to shop at CVS.
-When you are checking out with a cart full of stuff & have to pay *gasp!* $5!!!! The cashier was shocked and said, "I've never seen you pay that much. Are you feeling ok?"
-You have 1-800-SHOP-CVS on your cell phone's speed dial. Then press 3, wait for the first sentence of the message, and press 2 and then 4 without waiting. LOL
-When you have enough toothpaste, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, household cleaners, hair color and medication to last 3 years!
-You MAKE lots of money off CVS!
-Your CVS manager at your closest store knows you by name.
-When you check out the cashier cheerfully says "So what coupon do we have for today and lets see how much you end up spending!!!
-You walk thru the store and people ask you where things are cause you look like you know everything!
-The girl at CVS asks your best friend, who you taught how to CVS, "Gosh do those binders really work??? I see several ladies come in with them!" And she responds " Oh yah they do... and thats probably my friends and her sisinlaw!!!! rofl"
-You know what store carries which things and usually when they run out of it during the week!
-You know every CVS on the way home from ANY location!
-You hold your ECB's priceless because you KNOW how much they are worth!!!
-Your husband wants to know when CVS is going out of business.....
Got any more to add??? Got a good CVS story! Tell me about it! I want to know!!!

CVS Bargin Shopper
shopping browsing:
You Know You are Coupon / CVS Addicted When:
1. Your 2 year old puts on her play purse and says, "Bye, bye, I go CVS."
2. When traveling out of town for work, you'd rather go on a Sunday vs. Monday morning, so you can get the extra inserts from the papers at the airport and hotel..
3. Your sweet sweet daughter begs to go peelie-blinkie-tearpad shopping!
4. You shop at CVS even in your dreams, every night.
5. You just came home from shopping & your husband begs for chips (which of course you haven't bought) so you turn around enthusiastically to go back to CVS. And... when you get home you not only have 4 bags of chips but 6 bags of stuff which you paid a total of $.31! I just couldn't bear to buy chips for almost $4 a bag so I had to do some quick figuring on how to get them all for $.31!!!!
6. When you are checking out with a cart full of stuff & have to pay *gasp!* $5!!!! The cashier was shocked and said, "I've never seen you pay that much. Are you feeling ok?"
7. You only carry change to shop at cvs.
8. You have 1-800-SHOP-CVS on your cell phone's speed dial. Then press 3, wait for the first sentence of the message, and press 2 and then 4 without waiting. LOL
9. When you're walking up and down the aisles with your coupon binder calculating the best deals and other customers think you work there! (It might be because I'm there everyday!)
10. When you have enough toothpaste, shampoo, soap, toliet paper, household cleaners, hair color and medication to last 3 years!
And my fav' of them all is:
You can walk a CVS newbie friend thru EB deals on the phone while she is in the store, and talk your favorite cashier thru the deals too! LOL

I got the biggest kick out of a call I just made.
"well.....you might not get them for 3-4 weeks"
HUH? First class mail takes the max sometimes 7 days....
she said "well.. what they do is... put the rebates in brown bags, on the back of a truck, and send them to the post office several times a day, and they have to resort it there so it takes some time...."
LOL
Wow...
I probably have my money on my gift card from Walgreen's already posted which is why you should ALSO go this route and not opt for a check rebate from them... but I am getting my spa certificates snail mail so...
Oh well... have to wait a bit longer.
:-D
tis' funny though!
my sister sent this to me.....
Thats what I want to know!!!

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A day after New York City came up with a $1,000 bagel, a local restaurateur unveiled a $25,000 chocolate sundae on Wednesday, setting a Guinness world record for the most expensive dessert.
Stephen Bruce, owner of Serendipity 3, partnered with luxury jeweler Euphoria New York to create the "Frrozen Haute Chocolate," a blend of 28 cocoas, including 14 of the most expensive and exotic from around the globe.
The dessert, spelled with two Rs, is infused with 5 grams (0.2 ounces) of edible 23-karat gold and served in a goblet lined with edible gold. At the base of the goblet is an 18-karat gold bracelet with 1 carat of white diamonds.
The sundae is topped with whipped cream covered with more gold and a side of La Madeline au Truffle from Knipschildt Chocolatier, which sells for $2,600 a pound.
It is eaten with a gold spoon decorated with white and chocolate-colored diamonds, which can also be taken home.

A.A.A.D.D. -
Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.
This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden. As I turn on the hose in the driveway, I look over at my car and decide it needs washing. As I start toward the garage, I notice mail on the porch table that I brought up from the mail box earlier. I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car. I lay my car keys on the table, Put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, And notice that the can is full. So, I decide to put the bills back On the table and take out the garbage first. But then I think, Since I'm going to be near the mailbox When I take out the garbage anyway, I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, And see that there is only one check left. My extra checks are in my desk in the study, So I go inside the house to my desk where I fi nd the can of Coke I'd been drinking. I'm going to look for my checks, But first I need to push the Coke aside So that I don't accidentally knock it over. The Coke is getting warm, And I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold. As I head toward the kitchen with the Coke, A vase of flowers on the counter Catches my eye--they need water. I put the Coke on the counter and Discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back on my desk, But first I'm going to water the flowers. I set the glasses back down on the counter, Fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote. Someone left it on the kitchen table. I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, But I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, So I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, But first I'll water the flowers. I pour some water in the flowers, But quite a bit of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back on the table, Get some towels and wipe up the spill. Then, I head down the hall trying to Remember what I was planning to do. At the end of the day: The car isn't washed The bills aren't paid There is a warm can of Coke sitting on the counter The flowers don't have enough water, There is still only 1 check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find my glasses, And I don't remember what I did with the car keys. Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today, I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day, And I'm really tired. I realize this is a serious problem, And I'll try to get some help for it, But first I'll check my e-mail.... Do me a favor. Forward this message to everyone you know, Because I don't remember who I've sent it to. Don't laugh -- if this isn't you yet, your day is coming!!

I found these funnies on Girl Talk's Blog
Just a few that I thought were funny..
Preparation for parenthood..
1. Women: To prepare for maternity, put on a dressing gown and stick a pillowcase filled with beans down the front. Leave it there for 9 months. After 9 months, take out 10% of the beans.
2. Before you finally go ahead and have children, find a couple who are already parents and berate them about their methods of discipline, lack of patience, appallingly low tolerance levels, and how they have allowed their children to run wild. Suggest ways in which they might improve their child's sleeping habits, toilet training, table manners, and overall behavior. Enjoy it -- it'll be the last time in your life that you will have all the answers.
3. To discover how the nights will feel, walk around the living room from 5 pm to 10 pm carrying a wet bag weighing approximately 8-12 pounds, with a radio turned to static (or some other obnoxious noise) playing loudly. At 10 pm, put the bag down, set the alarm for midnight, and go to sleep. Get up at 12 and walk around the living room again, with the bag, until 1 am. Put the alarm on for 3 am. As you can't get back to sleep, get up at 2 am and make a drink. Go to bed at 2:45 am. Get up again at 3 am when the alarm goes off. Sing songs in the dark until 4 am. Put the alarm on for 5 am. Get up. Make breakfast. Keep this up for 5 years. Look cheerful.
4. Get ready to go out. Wait outside the bathroom for half an hour. Go out the front door. Come in again. Go out. Come back in. Go out again. Walk down the front path. Walk back up it. Walk down it again. Walk very slowly down the road for 5 minutes. Stop to inspect minutely every piece of used chewing gum, dirty tissue, and dead insect along the way. Retrace your steps. Scream that you've had as much as you can stand until the neighbors come out and stare at you. Give up and go back into the house. You are now just about ready to try taking a small child for
a walk.
5. Hollow out a melon. Make a small hole in the side. Suspend it from the ceiling and swing it from side to side. Now get a bowl of soggy Cheerios and attempt to spoon them into the swaying melon by pretending to be an airplane. Continue until half the Cheerios are gone. Tip the rest into your lap, making sure a lot of it falls on the floor. You are now ready to feed a 12-month-old baby.
now thats funny...

A woman was sitting in the waiting room for her first appointment with a new dentist. She noticed his DDS diploma, which bore his full name. Suddenly, she remembered that a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in her high school class so many years ago. Could this be the same guy I had a crush on way back then? she wondered.
She quickly discarded any such thought when she met the balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face. He’s way too old to have been my classmate, she thought to herself.
Still, after he examined her teeth, she asked, “Did you happen to attend Morgan Park High School?”
“Yes! I’m a Mustang,” he gleamed with pride.
“When did you graduate?” she asked.
“1959,” he replied. “Why do you ask?”
“You were in my class!” she exclaimed.
“Really?” he said, looking at her closely. “What did you teach?”

I came across this today and laughed my head off....
It was just way to funny to me.

Singer Sheryl Crow and environmentalist Laurie David have been traveling across America on a two-week Stop Global Warming College Tour, which winds up today at George Washington University. Crow and David (co-producer of the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" and wife of "Curb Your Enthusiasm's" Larry David) have been touting their cause and chronicling their travels in a rather idiosyncratic blog. Here, on Earth Day, are a few excerpts:
Crow (4/19): I also like the idea of not using paper napkins, which happen to be made from virgin wood and represent the height of wastefulness. I have designed a clothing line that has what's called a "dining sleeve." The sleeve is detachable and can be replaced with another "dining sleeve," after usage. The design will offer the "diner" the convenience of wiping his mouth on his sleeve rather than throwing out yet another barely used paper product. I think this idea could also translate quite well to those suffering with an annoying head cold.
Whats the saying? "don't wipe your mouth on your shirt"
Crow (4/19, Springfield, Tenn.): I have spent the better part of this tour trying to come up with easy ways for us all to become a part of the solution to global warming. Although my ideas are in the earliest stages of development, they are, in my mind, worth investigating. One of my favorites is in the area of forest conservation which we heavily rely on for oxygen. I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting. Now, I don't want to rob any law-abiding American of his or her God-given rights, but I think we are an industrious enough people that we can make it work with only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where 2 to 3 could be required.
OK come on now!!! At first thought, this idea might work. If we legislate toilet paper usage, perhaps children would stop using wads the size of basketballs to do their "business" and stop up toliets in the proccess . But one sheet? I'm thinking the amount of hand soap and germ killer we'd need to make this idea livable would overwhelm any environmental savings, don't you?
Crow (4/19): This next idea I have been saving but I will share it with you if you promise not to steal it. It is my latest, very exciting idea for creating incentive for us all to minimize our own personal carbon footprints. It's a reality show. (I feel pretty certain NO ONE has thought of this yet!) Here is the premise: the contest consists of 10 people who are competing for the top spot as the person who lives the "greenest" life. This will be reflected in the contestant's home, his business, and his own personal living style. The winner of this challenging, prestigious, contest would receive what??. . . . a recording contract!!!!!
Oh OH OH YAH we can have ANOTHER reality show with LOSERS who are going to have sleeve napkins attached to them, and use 1 square of toliet paper. I am SO going to be watching this just to get my daily laugh.... sigh...
Yes I do belive in taking care of what God has given us but isnt this takin it A BIT TO FAR?????????
Oh well. I got a good laugh from it all.
