I NEVER thought of looking for expired items at my local grocery store to get a
free item for having found it! But at our local Heb its their policy that if you find
an expired item bring it up when you check out along with a same item that’s
not expired and you get it for FREE! And they keep the expired one!

So today when I went to get some meat on my way home from a church function
that I was doing nursery for I stopped and had a look around just to see! And Yah!I found a big carton of Half and Half (there was actually 3 of them but they only had
one unexpired one so I just grabbed that one lol) and a thing of fresh parsley!
Yah for great Heb Policy! :-D About $5.00 in free products!

So don’t forget this next time you shop! Or find out what your local stores policy is on this!
I will always keep my eyes open now!

I just found out about this too! tonight i got a $10 value sized package of ground chuck at heb for free. the expired product was actually ground beef, but there weren't any other unexpired packages, so the manager substituted the ground chuck. i'll definitely be on the look out now! :)

I always look for out-of-date stuff at HEB! You never know what you might find!
This week I got milk, granola bars, trail mixes, and some bagged fresh green beans and broccoli. I also got a bunch of kale because the first one I picked up was all nasty and bad. That's their policy-if it's not fresh, it's free.
In the past I've found lots of stuff- cheese, lunchmeat, bread, fresh juices, yogurt, guacamole, even vitamins!
It's definitely worth looking, even though sometimes I don't find anything. (I guess we can't expect for everything to be free! lol)
But seriously, I think getting some extras for free like this is a blessing from the LORD to help stretch our budget. Praise the LORD for CVS,too! :)
