Here in South Texas, the weather turns nice every few days... and if that nice day happens to be a saturday than be sure you will find a yard sale or two already.

Well thats what this crazy gall and her sisnlaw did this saturday! Yup, we had a spur of the moment yard sale! And I must say we didn't do to bad for only a few hours of our time on a saturday morning! Love it!

Isn't it cute!

I got my sewing machine back from the shop for a MUCH needed tune up. Poor thing was groaning and moaning till it died on me. But its back to humming and sewing like new now! Which makes me sew happy! :-D

I had bought some material the other day for a cell phone case for my purse as I can NEVER get to my phone fast enough when its ringing. Got that problem to?

It turned out to cute I think! I love it! I loved it so much I made another one just like it to put on Etsy.com! I can't wait to start sewing again and maybe get a few things out there for sell on Etsy.

What a weekend!

I am SO sore and exhausted.

Like I said, we had been clearing my husband's Grandma's house the last few days
and we had a yard sale for her!

My mothernlaw and I set it all up Friday morning bright and early. And we have more
traffic than I have seen at our yard sales before! Both my sisnlaw and I live in the country
so ours did not have as much traffic even though we sold lots!

It was late into the day before we even had a 5 min lul!!! We almost cleared $500 that day!
I was shocked! And tired. :-D Half way into the day my hubby called to tell me that someone
had given us 2 pallets of grass and he was on his way out to help the guy unload it onto our
land. Wooppppieee!!! It's been slow going trying to get our yard to grow so this was cool!

So we closed around 5 and put all the stuff from the yard sale away and went home sooo worn out.
I helped hubs water the grass as he laid it out in the yard. It looks really cool! Hoping it sticks and doesn't die! We are watering like crazy!!!!

Hubby and I crashed Friday night sooo tired and sore from all the work.

I was up bright and early and headed back into town this morning to Nina's house for the second
day of the yard sale. I stopped and got me a cuppa java to wake me up some more!!!!

We got all the stuff out and set up and people were slow going in coming but we had good traffic all day. I ended up going down the road to check out an estate sale and 2 other garage sales in the area and the estate sale ended up being a REALLY junky one and then the two garage sales had 2 other people doing them next doors also... guess they decided to go with the free advertisement or something! LOL But I found a lamp that was brand new and OH SO PRETTY! And a spice rack which I had been looking for but didn't want to pay $20+ for new, got it for $3!!! And then a basket that was brand new and was GREAT lookin and cute little shirt for my niece.


Well, us ga'lls got so much done and by then end of it all we were so tired and sore from all the work. We ALMOST cleared $900 for the 2 days!!!!!!!! Can you BELIEVE THAT!!!!!!!!!! How awesome is that.

I'm about ready to crash....

We Almost Made It!

WHAT a yard sale!
Sat found us all dragging out of bed to get everything ready for the day. Rach and her gang showed up and we started with java and tacos from a local taco house. And hauled EVERYTHING back out again to set it all out and ready to sell. My momnlaw showed up and
asked us why our signs were gone. WHATTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!
I had Wes run down and see if our signs were gone and started on some new ones from cardboard board ones. So I ran down to the one they said was missing and sure enough someone had tore it down! Not so nice.... I thought I better go look and see if the others were still in place... And sure enough someone had torn down 2 more! And there were 3 other signs up for other yard sales! None of them were in the exact spot where ours was so I don’t know WHY they tore ours down!
Turns out they had tore one down again that was on our street AGAIN so we are wondering if that’s why we didn’t get a TON of traffic all day... sigh...
But even though we didn’t have a TON of people coming thru and it seemed quite slow at times we still did very well and only was a little shy of what our goal for the 2 days was. So we were VERY happy!
We got just a LITTLE burnt! :-D And made a nice chunk of change! Share

What a DAY!

Wow, I’m exhausted!
Up bright and early with my sister to get all our stuff out for our yard sale. It took us about 45 mins to get it all out and set up. And then the flood of people came! It was great, I wasn’t sure how it would be on Friday as I had only done one on at Sat! So I was surprised and happy that people were coming. We cleared $100 within 1 hr! I was shocked. And it didn’t seem that the pile WAS NOT GOING ANYWHERE! lol Which could be a good thing but I want it ALL GONE lol.

After around 11:30 or so it dwindled off and was quite for a good hour and a half. Which was fine for my sister and I as we needed a break. Around 1 or so we had another wave of people and that was it. We did quite well in what we made and I was a bit surprised! Rach showed up to help load all the stuff back into the house later. And we got it all back in and it’s all ready for tomorrow!

I’m chilling out and ready to hit the bed! lol :-) Got to be up BRIGHT and EARLY to set up again!

Well we are ALMOST ready for our big yard sale coming up this weekend!

I just got to get a few more things from some people who are gonna sell in

ours also. And we have a TON of stuff!!! We both hope to clear ATLEAST

$200 each which we ALMOST did last time. Came VERY close!

I went thru and sorted all my pile so when Rach brought hers over we could

go thru quickly sort hers and then put stickers on them all.

As we were unloading her van her kiddo got a beauty makeover

from the pile! Was funny! Atleast she got it all on the right spot! :-)

We got it all sorted and labled! Ready to GO!

Making Money at Home

What works best for you? How do you generate that extra income for your family by still staying at home and not having a full time job?
Do you have a part time thing you do on the side that brings in money? I have heard of people selling eggs from there chickens as they have to many to use themselves. What about baking bread and selling it? Or childcare in your home.

Heres is a few things that have worked for me!
I am a Beauticontrol Consultant, which I love! I use their products so it only made since that
I sold them. And its SO easy! Who says makin money has to be hard! I make money of doing
spas. :-)

I also signed up months ago with a advertiser called Commission Junction. There is no referral program with it but it has some AWESOME advertising links which you get paid for. So its worth looking into for SURE.

There are also places like RevolutionMoneyExchange where you can have the potental to make several hundred dollars by sending them more clients.

And you can sign up with places like Ebates , Cash Crate ,Vindale Research ,Big Crumbs and
Monster Pays Cash for using their site to get rebates back and on top of that get paid when you refer someone to them. So it makes great side money without having to do much.
