Starbucks and chocolate...who could ask for anything more?;0)

My tip...when considering eating out we think through the cost, calculate how many hours pay we will have used to pay for the meal and then decide if going out is worth the cost. Some times it is, for a mental health break, and some times it is disheartening to realize what you just ate cost 3 hours of work...it puts a whole new perspective on saving money.

Yummy! I haven't had these yet but I do love Starbucks coffee.

A money saving tip...aside from coupons and taking advantage of Walgreens shopping (I haven't mastered CVS shopping, yet!)...we are starting to live a little more green. We've stopped buying bottled water, switched out our lightbulbs and unplug appliances. Nothing major but every little bit helps! m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com

We have a big water jar where we drop our spare change in and it's for our vacations. if anyone does laundry they have to put .50 in the water jar. Also went to basic cable which is $15.00 verse $80.00 I was paying.

Those chocolates sound awesome! Thanks for the giveaway. Lately our biggest money saver has been to make our own laundry detergent. Sounds a little strange I know, but we do so much laundry it is really saving us money. It is really easy to make and it works great.

Honestly, the best $ saving tip that's worked for me is to stay home as much as possible.

Thanks for the chance to win.

My best money saving tip is to shop second hand. Thrift stores, Goodwill, yard sales, craigslist, etc. I've found some wonderful items at a fraction of retail.

Yummy!

The best savings advice I have received over the last few months of couponing has been "Plan your trips wisely and only go once a week if possible." It has saved me from many "Impulse" purchases. Although, it's hard to do when you see deals out there!

Great blog, too, BTW.

Thanks for the contest. My best money saving tip is to do your research! I've found great tips online. Just recently I signed up for the P&G coupons online and have almost 50.00 in coupons attached to my card!

Thanks for the chance to win. My money saving tip is one I learned from the blogs. Internet coupons have allowed me to save so much money! When things are on sale I try to stack a MF coupon(either from the sunday paper or from the internet) with a store coupon. I always search to try to find internet coupons for items that are on sale at my stores. Also, don't be afraid to ask for rain checks. Things fly off the shelves fast when they are for free or for pennies...so get a check to get yours when they restock!

The best money saving tip that I've found lately is reading! I learn so much about sales, coupons, and how to use the two together from reading other people's blogs and taking advantaged of their wisdom and experiences.

My best tip is to:

Go to restaurants when there are deals for your kids, l one adult meal get one free.

go to elf.com for cosmetics, cheap!!

coupon trains and dont buy products for your home without the coupon, or go generic.

Work overtime.

shop early for xmas

I always try to make sure I use my coupons that sat FREE or could potentially make overage at places like Walmart and Target...this way I can get some of my other groceries for free as well.

Starbucks chocolates - whew! yum!
The best money-saving tip from our family revolves around the weekends. I try to cook several meals/meats/pastas for the upcoming week of work and school (and I try to throw in an easy pie or cake to sit on the counter). This way, we are less tempted to eat out - hard to justify a restaurant or fast food when something is waiting at home for us. All I have to do is get a vegetable/fruit prepared for a weeknight meal!

What's next said...

we try to eat out where kids eat free that day and checking the sale ad's before grocery shopping to combine with coupons!

Yummy!! For planning your coupon shopping trips, my husband and I sit down together on a Wednesday night and plan our trip(s).It's the middle of the week and seems to be a little calmer at our house. Once finished stick list/coupons in car and forget about it. Thanks

My best tip is to shop for presents all year 'round. Keep your eyes on things like the Target clearance rack for things you know friends or family would enjoy and spread the cost out all year instead of paying all at once. By shopping all year you'll spend less on each gift and won't see such a huge impact on your budget in November and December.

One thing that helps me is to shop second-hand, but to make sure I have a list of the things I really need or am looking for so I don't just buy stuff that's not needed.
Great giveaway!

Hi, thanks for entering me. That would be quite the indulgence :) One way that I save money on groceries is by shopping for meat the first day of the beginning of a sale. I buy meat that is marked down with the previous sale's prices and the date is fine for using right away or freezing. I also look for fruits that I can glean such as picking apples, pears, plums or peaches from fruit trees that owners don't harvest (with permission of course)

My best secret these days? "Shop" in your pantry. I have saved sooo much money making dinner out of what I've already had stockpiled.

My tip: review your cash back bonus programs on your credit cards. My Discover Card gives 5% cash back for gas, my Paypal debit card gives 2% if used as a credit card on the POS terminal. I earn about $75-$100 cash back each month by using my credit card cash back programs for maximum impact. Thanks for the giveaway-

chocolate...mmmmmm...

I recently found that I can replace the rinse agent in my dishwasher with vinegar. Much cheaper and works just as well.

My best money saving tip is: unless it is free or creates an overage, I am NOT saving money if I use a coupon or buy something on sale or clearance that I will not end up using.

My tip: when I am feeling tired of my hair color (blonde), I use a red Kool-aid packet and hot water to dye the tips pink! The dye will stay in a few weeks (for red only -- other colors don't work as well), and it's the cheapest hair-dye out there -- you only need one packet to do the job, which costs, what, a quarter? Only works on light hair, though, and only for people who like unnatural colors. : )

HOLY MOLY!!!! I ALMOST had to lick the monitor... WOW, those chocolates look freakin' FABULOUS!!!!! OK, now that I have regained my composure..... my tip... in my "down time" (laughing yet?!)... whenever I have a few minutes, I shoot off e mails to companies whose products I use, with a comment/complaint/praise (whatever....)... they usually respond with coupons for FREE full sized products!! I have gotten a TON of free stuff this way.... I've gotten free diapers, vitamins, frozen food entree coupons... the list goes on and on. Don't limit yourself... go through your cupboards and start with the contact info on stuff you already use... then "branch out" and be creative.... you would be amazed at what they will send you!!! Good Luck! cspan27332(at)yahoo(dot)com

I've been wanting to try those chocolates! Lately, I go to Whole Foods and pick up their coupon folders for organic foods, then take those coupons to Giant Eagle where those coupons are then doubled. I've walked out with so much free stuff! Thanks for entering me. Jennifer at knj_meybaum@yahoo.com.

A great money saving tip... Keep a box of (non chocolate) Granola bars in your glovebox... the kids get hungry sometimes and instead of stopping for something (individual items are SO expensive) you will always have something on hand for them, that is a lot better than a candy bar at a gas station.

I try to make a lot of our food from scratch. Not only do I not have to pay someone else to make them, but I know what ingredients are going into the foods.

I love chocolate and have yet to try these!

My best money saving tip would have to be being able to carpool to work with my husband, as we commute 30 miles one way to our jobs. It saves us a lot of money on gas (and even more money now that we drive a hybrid car) and gives us time to spend together.

I love to go out but it can get $$$. For my favorite costs-more-than-average restaurants, I go for lunch instead of dinner. I can get the same exact meals for 2/3 of the price! When I take my family to museums, I check when the free admission days are (in Boston, the MFA is free Wed nights from 4-9:45pm), or I try to get a pass from my local library. There's a museum pass program and they have free/discounted admission passes to museums, zoos, and MA state parks). Also, instead of going to the movies, we rent free DVDs from the library instead. If our library doesn't have it, usually another library in the system will - we love the Interloan Library system!!

My money saving tip for eating out as a family. I find restaurants that on certain nights or days children eat free with an adult paying meal.
