I need some pick me up stories from you!!!

This has absolutly nothing to do with moving...but it will make you laugh.....

Today I was driving down the road with my 2 daughters in tow. They are 16 and 18 years of age and have had so much fun with some of the free deals or close to free deals we have been coming across. So our trip to to Mall area of our town made them wonder what was in store. I explained that I had heard of a free pretzel deal next month and a free pancake deal next month. My mind was racing, I was really impressed with what I was saying and with myself of course....lol. When, my 18 year old daughter very thoughtfully said to me...."Mom, If the homeless only had internet access...."
I laughed until I cried....I thought that was so funny.
She was so serious...she then suggested that maybe they could go to the public library...

Now don't you feel better...I told you so.

Well, we are in the process of buying our first home. I have been so ready yo move that I actually started packing last January. That's right we have had boxes in the house and garage since January 2007!

Anyway, I only packed up what we "didn't" need or so I thought. We have our Kitchenade stand mixer as well as the hand held Kitchenade mixer. I boxed up some of the "extra" kitchen utensils that we don't use on a regular basis as well as some larger serving pieces. I knew I would probably need the hand held mixer so I left it unpacked. Sure enough, my husband wanted to make pudding one evening. So he goes into the kitchen and has everything ready. He pulls out the hand held mixer and opens the drawer where the beater attachments normally are and for some reason he can't seem to locate them. He asks me where they are and it dawned on me...I left the mixer itself out but wasn't thinking and packed up the beaters. *LOL*

He wasn't happy at that moment but later he laughed about it.

Tip: Put all the boxes in an unused room, and unpack from there. It keeps the house from looking like a dumpster, and you can go at your own pace. Also, first pack a box with paper plates, towels, TP!, toothbrushes, etc., and put it in the car. You will be thankful. And get rid of anything you don't need BEFORE you move. Have fun. "Move" is a four-letter word at our house.
