Did you know...

Vinegar is a GREAT deodorizer, kills 99 percent of bacteria, 80 percent of germs and Much Much more!!!

I use vinegar in my dishwasher where the rinse agent is suppose to go. It works GREAT!!!

Its Cheap, and not harsh like other cleaners would be! :-) Share

Thanks for the tip about vinegar killing 99% perent of bacteria. I did not know that. I would think it would have to be full strength. I probably would add some tea tree oil also, or lavender for a nicer smell.

Glad I stopped on by your blog! Have a great weekend :)

Does it help with water spots??? I use Jet Dry for the spots. . . if I don't use it my dishes are YUCK. . . would love something cheaper!!! Oh and I always boil a little thing of vinegar after I cook bacon. . . the smell of bacon makes me sick after a while and the vinegar takes it away. Course then your house smells like vinegar, but I'd rather smell that than bacon! lol

:-) yah you dont have to boil it though to cut the smell.. just a small cup of bowl of it sitting somewhere near what our doing before you start helps without the horrid smell!!!
Yah no spots on my dishes! :D
It works great for it. Thats what you use to clean a window to leave no spots so I was like hmm.. lets try it in the dishwasher cuase I was using jet dry but its TO EXPENSIVE..... it worked so I looked it up on google to make sure I wasnt gonna like over load on it hehehe and sure enough they say it works great for it. And to think it kills the germs that maybe your soap didnt. lol hehe

Thanks for the tip about vinegar killing 99% of bacteria. I'm getting ready to start using vinegar and baking soda for cleaning, and wasn't sure how effective it would be in killing bacteria/germs.

You can add vinegar to your laundry to clean off all the soap residue left on your clothes. Just add it to the rinse cycle! Oh yeah...Dr.Oz (of Oprah fame) says to wipe your face every night with Apple Cider Vinegar to reduce wrinkles.

You can pour some baking soda down your drain, followed by vinegar to clean it out. It also kills the bad smells that creep up.

Vinegar is also good for cleaning out your coffee maker if it's running slow. Just run a cycle with it in place of water. Works like a charm!
